The new Renton campus is an exciting and innovative project which provides a state-of-the-art learning environment which moves away from traditional teaching methods.

Holmes Miller led a widespread series of engagement sessions with our education colleagues at WDC to deliver a collaborative process that meets modern educational aspirations. The campus has an efficient building form, maximises a constrained site and connects indoor and outdoor learning by providing stimulating rooftop terraces

The three storey building is designed as a ‘Learning Ladder’, providing a progression of learning up through the Campus, with ELCC and Early Level provision on ground floor and remaining teaching and LCU accommodation shared between the upper floors.

Open plan spaces are divided up into a variety of flexible and task-based activity spaces. This gives teachers and learners a wide range of spaces that can be used to suit modern teaching methods.
