PAOK Toumba Stadium
Our concept draws on the iconic City of Thessaloniki, respecting the past and looking to the future. We see influence in the colours, textures, light, and atmosphere of a City by the sea which is rich in cultural heritage. The Stadium design references local Architectural cues in the form of colonnades and arches, limestone, and club colours of black and white. This approach will bring a timeless effect to the Stadium design, which will be an enduring image.
In achieving an aesthetic of combining the past and the future we can identify materials to suit different elevation languages throughout the building exterior.
Indigenous Greek Limestone is an appropriate selection for its local and historical connection to Thessaloniki, as well as its permanence and timeless quality.
The civic quality limestone possesses can combine and juxtapose with materials such as glass, aluminum and perforated mesh.
